As the UK's only accredited Victims Qualification, this course is essential knowledge for all who come into contact with victims or witnesses, to understand their support requirements, how to manage individual cases with sensitivity and care, and your legal and safeguarding duties toward them. The course is the most comprehensive of its kind and will equip students with the skills and knowledge required by organisations supporting victims, such as education, policing and community support services. The course content will also increase the effectiveness of managers working in a supporting role with victims and witnesses. It is also inclusive of the needs of both adult and young victims.

As the UK's most comprehensive practitioner training, this two-year course will enable you to qualify as a Restorative Practitioner and prepare for a fulfilling career, as you work with victims and offenders in this emerging field. The course provides an explicit framework in which to explore and become fully conversant with the National Occupational Standards of Restorative Practice and the values, principles and practices intrinsic to each stage of the process. On completion of the course, you will have the requisite knowledge and skills to plan, manage and implement restorative interventions safely and effectively, and to lead and manage restorative casework at a senior level.

Hailed as a major step forward for Youth Justice Teams in the UK, panel volunteers can now be fully trained in live online classes that run regularly throughout the year.

Facilitated by experienced panel trainers closely involved in the development and testing of the 2018 YJB panel training update, the course frees teams from the burden of organising training themselves, and aids retention by allowing individual volunteers to be trained and added to rotas in a more timely manner.

If you have several volunteers to be trained, we can also deliver this package directly to your service at any time of year. The course will be tailored to your requirements and your panel members will be trained in live online classes using your own paperwork and processes.
